The age of the girl child should be less than 10 years to open the account. The parent or guardian must be Indian. You will have to provide the birth certificate of the child, your identity card, and any document showing the home address. The form will have to be filled out and submitted along with these papers to the nearest post office or bank.

Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana Advantages

Suppose you deposit Rs 13,000 every year. When the scheme is completed, your total deposit will be Rs 1,95,000. On this, the government will give you interest of about Rs 4,05,390. That is, you will get a total of Rs 6,00,390. This money can be used for your daughter’s education or marriage after she turns 18.
